Uber moves into Old Post Office lease

The tech company, which is quickly growing in Chicago, will occupy 450,000 square feet.

Uber has signed a 10-year lease for 450,000 square feet of office space in the Old Post Office, the company announced today.

As the anchor tenant in the 2.8 million-square-foot building, located at 433 W. Van Buren St., it will become Uber’s second-largest office, behind its headquarters in San Francisco. Other tenants, which will start moving into the building in September, include Walgreens Boots Alliance, Ferrara Candy, the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning and ad agency AbelsonTaylor, as well as Kroger-owned companies Home Chef and the 84.51 analytics firm.
